Before we go ahead and discuss about the plantar fasciitis symptoms it is important to know what is plantar fasciitis and what causes it. Today we are going to cover all these aspects for a better understanding of the topic.

Definition of Plantar Fasciitis:

The plantar fascia is a ligament that connects the heel to the front of your foot. It is thick and web like and acts like a shock absorber so that you do not face any difficulty while walking, running and even jogging.

Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common ailments to affect the heel. Just like the other parts in our body, the plantar fascia also undergoes a lot of wear and tear. In fact, it undergoes a lot of extreme situations on a daily basis. Too much pressure tends to have its toll on the feet and the ligaments tend to tear. As a result the plantar fascia becomes inflamed and red which in turn leads to the stiffness and pain in the heels. Although the exact cause of this illness is not certain but we cannot deny that we should give rest to our feet if we want to remain healthy. Don’t ...
... forget that your feet carry the entire weight of your body.

What are the Common Plantar Fasciitis Symptoms?

One of the most common symptoms is the pain at the bottom of the heel. At times, this pain is felt at the middle of the foot as well. Generally, it affects one foot but it can affect both of the feet as well.
The intensity of the pain increases with the passage of time. The pain can sharp as needles or dull as a thud. There are many who experience a burning sensation on the bottom of the foot that extends outwards from the heel.
The pain tends to be severe during the morning when you get up from sleep and try to take the first steps out of the bed. You will experience a sharp pain when you were sitting idle for too long or were just lying for too long. When you have stiffness in the heel you will experience pain when you try to climb up the stairs.
The pain tends to increase after any prolonged activity. This happens because the inflammation has increased and the irritation has gone up. If you are suffering from plantar fasciitis you will not experience any pain during the activity. The pain will start to register once you stop the activity.

Do you suffer from any of the common plantar fasciitis symptoms? If yes, then you need to book an appointment with the orthopedic at the earliest. Get yourself thoroughly checked. If the doctors ask you to undergo an X-ray and any other tests, you should get it done without further delay. It is important to get yourself treated. Ignoring the heel pain will be the biggest mistake of your life. Soon you will start to limp and then for the best of your life you will have to depend on crutches.

Ask your friends and relatives if they can recommend any good orthopedic. You can also search online. Find out who is the leading orthopedics in your city. Call them up one by one to find out who is available at the moment and book your appointment at the earliest. When you visit the doctor, explain to him in detail all that you are experiencing. There is nothing to feel shy about. In fact, if you have nay queries about the treatment, ask them as well. Clarify all your doubts right at the beginning.
