In this modern technological era, the presence of personal computers has become extremely essential in almost all spheres of life. It is principally because of its ability to make work faster and perform all the operation easily. The computer peripheral device, which requires an extra care, is your computer mouse. As it is continuously in use, while working on PC, so it is likely to develop many problems. Below listed are few common problems that occur with the computer mouse, which can be fixed by you without the help of any expert.

The common problem occurring with the mouse of computers is that of "mouse not found" error message that pops up at start-up. This actually means the system is not able to detect the mouse. The computer mouse is just not plugged-in properly. To solve this problem switch-off the computer, plug in the mouse properly and then, restart your computer.

Sometimes you will notice there are some trails that follow the cursor of the mouse along the movement of your mouse. This feature is called as the "pointer trail" and the feature is found in Windows NT, XP, 95 and 98. To disable this ...
... feature, go to start menu, then settings and the control panel. In control panel, double-click on the mouse icon. Then, in the properties window for mouse, select "motion" tab. After this, you can uncheck or check the "show pointer trails" option.

Another setting for mouse is decreasing or increasing the speed of the double click of your computer mouse. If suppose your PC is new, then the computer mouse most probably tends to behave in a hyperactive way and hence, the speed for double click is much faster. On the other hand, if the speed is low for the same, it can be very annoying as well as even time-consuming. In these situations, you need to decrease or increase the speed of the mouse. For this, the easiest way is to go to the mouse properties then click the activities tab. In this tab, you will see the option for setting up the speed for double-clicks of computer mouse. Now it can be adjusted according to ones usable speed.

Another issue that is always dealt with is inappropriate functioning of the mouse is the wheel. Malfunctioning of mouse wheels is a very common mouse problems. For this setting, access the mouse properties tab and then the select wheel tab. Here in this tab you will be able to do adjustments for the mouse wheel according to your usage. For example, here you can change the settings like numbers of pages or lines that you want your computer mouse to scroll down. Apply the changes by clicking OK. If still, this all does not work correctly, go for the recent mouse-drivers or you can get your mouse examined by some technician or the concerned manufacturers.

These are the many common problems related to the computer mouse, which can be managed by you, very well. For further queries on mouse repairs or any other computer hardware repairs, visit savemysystem.co.uk.
