Canada Permanent Residency Visa – A Quick Guide
If you’ve the intention to move to the maple country, you can either move as a permanent resident or a temporary one. If you’re a permanent resident, you can avail all the benefits such as enrolling in free healthcare and medical facilities, access to free education, social security benefits and many more, however this doesn’t mean that you’re a Canadian Citizen.
On the other hand, if you’re working or studying on a temporary basis, as either a foreign worker or an international student, you’re not a Permanent Resident. The same applies with the case of a tourist visa as well. So, want to actualize your dream this year? Well, if you’re planning to apply for the Canada PR from India, you’re making a considerable choice that will give you fruitful results personally and professionally.
Now, you might be eager to know about the Canada Permanent Residency Visa Process. Well, have a look at the step-by-step guide that’ll help you fly to the maple leaf country without any hassle.
Get Your ECA (Educational Credential Assessment) Assessed
If you’ve done your education from overseas, ...
... then you need to prove that your current education meets the Canadian Education Standards . So, ECA is an important document that you need to submit. Moreover, it is assessed by the WES (World Education Services), and you can apply online in order to receive your ECA report.
Language Efficiency Test Results
It is another important step that you need to provide to the immigration authority if you want to make your process as smooth as a knife in the butter. It is the one document with the help of which you can make a good impression on the Canadian Employers. For this, you need to appear for the IELTS Language proficiency test and always try to score high in al the four abilities such as reading, writing, listening and speaking.
Submit Your Express Entry Application
Post having all the important documents, now it’s time to submit your application. There are 3 important immigration streams such as: Federal Skilled Worker’s Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program and Canadian Experience Class. So, choose the program that suits you the best and enter the pool. However, if you want to enter the pool, you need to score 67 points that’re evaluated on the basis of age, work experience, language proficiency and many more.
Get Your CRS Score
After submitting your profile, your profile will be given CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) scores. These scores are a major deciding factor that whether you’ll get an ITA to apply for the Canada PR or not. So, always try to score higher if you want to receive an invitation from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
Apply for the PNP (If you’ve got low CRS Scores)
Well, there is no need to worry if you’ve got low CRS scores. You can still apply for the Provincial Nominee Program, that is also the fastest and the easiest way to gain entry into the maple country. So, prior to applying via PNP, don’t forget to check which PNP best suits you. There are many PNP’s available such as SINP, OINP, MINP and many more. So, do your homework and choose the best one.
Wait for the Draws and the CRS cut-off
Now, it’s the time to have a little patience and wait for the draws that’re conducted by the IRCC every fortnight. Under this draw, a CRS cut-off is released. You need to make sure that you meet the threshold set by the IIRCC, so that you don’t face any hassle at a later stage. You would be surprised to know that despite the corona outbreak, this country is still conducting the draws more frequently. Isn’t it good news?
Receive an Invitation or a Nomination
After meeting the CRS cut-off, you’ll receive an invitation (when applied via Express Entry) or a nomination (if applied via PNP) to apply for the PR. Post receiving an ITA, you’ve 60-days-time to submit your PR application to the IRCC.
Submit all the Required Documents
Well, you need to attach your pertinent documents such as identity proof, educational certificates, work experience credentials, language test results report and many more along with your application.
Wait for the PR to get Approved
Now, after submitting your application, you need to have a little patience, if you want to get fruitful results. Now, prepare for arrival and fly to your dream destination as early as possible and live the best days of your life.
