Adding Files To .bkf File Halting Backup Process

NTBackup.exe utility is an in-built utility that comes with Windows Operating System. It allows user to backup their data in form of .BKF file format. These backup .BKF files are very much helpful whenever there is loss of data files and folders or there is deletion of files whether intentional or accidental.
One thing you should know that size of backup file .bkf is limited. You cannot keep on going adding files for backing up to .bkf file. What would be the outcome if the backup gets full while you are still adding more files in the backup? The process will simply stop and you will receive an error message adding to the agony of the users. If you let the backup remain as it is, then it might get corrupt. In these situations, the need arises to repair the .bkf file and software for BKF Recovery can help you in this regard.
Consider a practical situation, where you have FAT 16 or FAT 32 file system and when you use Windows NTBackup.exe utility to backup your data, the following error message may appear:

Reasons behind this issue
The above mentioned error message occurs in the computers using FAT16 or FAT32 file system. This is because FAT16 or FAT32 have limited capacity of 4GB and if the .bkf file attempt to add more file and exceeds this limit, the error message appears. In addition, there are chances that backup .bkf file get corrupt and as a result you no longer can use backup file in times of data crisis.
Resolution for this issue
For getting rid of this error message or to work around this problem you can perform the following steps:
NTFS file system supports maximum file size of about 16 hexabytes
Try to convert to NTFS using the Convert /FS=NTFS command
Then, locate the .bkf file on the NTFS partition
Reduce the size of the .bkf file
This way you can now add more files to .bkf file for backing up the same. If there is corruption in BKF file then you are left with no option other than going for third party tool for BKF Recovery. BKF Recovery software is an advanced tool to repair corrupt MS backup (BKF) files created with ntbackup.exe, VERITAS Backup Exec or any other backup solution having MTF format.
