When we talk about the media which had been one and only mode of playing audio and video; then they were the cassettes. They were the only thing that people enjoyed through the 60’s and ruled the world till 90’s. It has been the top most name in music and video playing methods it has millions of people on it. These cassettes are also known as the alone ways and was the winner, and was usually referred to as the only mode to store the data in entertaining approach as well as in official or work approach. And it ran longer than 40 years. These cassettes offered many opportunities for businesses, organizations as well as user to record their data and also their music and videos as both kinds of audio and video cassettes were available. Now with all these liberties the main thing that were effected its longevity and existence was its shelf life, which was quite low and the magnetic tapes that were the main component of these cassettes did not deliver the much needed longevity that it failed to deliver. They were effected by climatic as the moisture in climate and also by heat as both of these are the game changer for these magnetic tapes which can change the quality of the cassettes and sometimes they may get ruined too. The other thing that was affected was the compact cassettes were known for low sound quality that was progressively changed in the 70s and people started enjoying it later one with the time. But as far as DVDs are concerned they took places of the cassettes because they were more reliable and sturdy than them and slowly they took over the cassette market completely by replacing them both in audio and video.
