International Focus UNSW attracts international students from more than 120 countries to the campus a greater number of students than any other university in the world and maintains strong links with its international graduate community. New ideas are brought to the campus through international speakers and visiting academics, and UNSW encourages Australian students to undertake international exchange, taking advantage of strong leaching and research alliances with more than 200 prestigious universities worldwide. The Student Experience UNSW offers a modern, dynamic and innovative teaching and learning environment with extensive social and recreational facilities. The UNSW campus is a beautiful, architecturally sophisticated place, offering an enviable, cosmopolitan lifestyle for staff and students. Study and research facilities are comprehensive, with a widely-acclaimed Library network housing more than two million volumes and extensive electronic resources. There is a vast array of student ser-vices and literally hundreds of sport and recreational clubs and societies, a vibrant cafe scene and an award-winning bookshop. The UNSW Union runs many of the cafes and meeting places on campus, and operates the Round-house, the student entertainment centre on campus. With a weekly entertainment line-up, the Roundhouse provides a wide range of free entertainment, including: free movie screenings, lunchtime library lawn entertainment, and live bands.

UNSW has several support units to help students adjust to their new environment and make a smooth transition to university. The Learning Centre assists students in developing academic study skills and the Counseling Unit supports students who need help with problems that are interfering with their study or wellbeing. For Indigenous students, UNSW offers support via the Aboriginal Education Program.

Strong Industry Links UNSW has built on its strengths in science and technology by developing a wide range of cooperative arrangements with industry and business via its Schools, Faculties and through Unsearched. With more than 180 industry sponsors, the innovative UNSW Co-op Program provides money and industry training to selected undergraduate students in the disciplines of science, commerce and engineering.
