The good old saying- Treat others the way you want to be treated, is typical when you are dealing with children. Children are very vulnerable and sensitive to emotions you impart to them. They usually don’t tend to listen to adults unless they feel free to do that. The following are some golden techniques that you can implement to get your child to listen to you.

1. Don’t try to control children. Let them explore their ways!
We as adults try and control our children’s behavior, in the image of guiding them. But we need to understand that every human has a unique way of dealing with situations and nobody is in a position to control the other. Just let them know that you are with them when they need you.

2. Don’t insist unless there is a pretty good reason.
Respecting kids doesn’t imply that they could be allowed to traverse through wrong methods. We should insist on them whenever they abide by the wrong. Not by force but by being thoughtful enough and providing alternatives.
