Firstly, tap the Window and S keys altogether to launch the search window.
Then, insert the keywords “Event Viewer” in the search pane on Windows 10.
After that, choose the option “Event Viewer” to expand the respective Window.
Hit the option “Windows logs” and, after that, search for the Applications section situated at the left-hand side of your Event Viewer panel.
Tap on “Filter Current Log” placed on the right-hand side section of Event Viewer to launch the Window.
After that, type “26226” into the text box of All Event ID.
Next, hit the OK tab to proceed.
Now, press the information icon to see various event details related to Chkdsk.
Points to Expand Chkdsk file logs via PowerShell
In the beginning, tap the Windows tab, and the R key at one go to expand the Run dialog box.
Now, enter PowerShell under the Run search box, followed by the OK button.
After that, it is recommended to type or copy-paste the under-mentioned path to view the recent chkdsk logs under PowerShell:
“get_winevent _Filter_HashTable _{logname=”Application”; id= 1001}| ?{$_provider_name –match_wininit | fl time_created,_message.”
Press Enter key to let the Windows to accept your command.
In case you wish to get text file for your log, then type the under mentioned path into the provided space of Command Prompt.
“get_win_event_Filter_Hash_Table_{log_name=”Application”; id=”1001″}| ?{$_.provider_name –match_wininit | fl time_created, message | out-file Desktop_CHKDSK_Results.txt.”
After a while, the log file in the form of text will be displayed on your system’s screen.
Note: If you wish to remove unwanted or inferior items from your device, then you can do so by deleting them. This will help you to make your system safe and smooth.
