Keep Their Memory Alive By Cremation Necklaces
Passing away of a loved one can cause turmoil in a person’s life. The sudden absence of a friend or a relative is different for different people. A myriad of emotions is experienced such as regret, anger, and sorrow by people going through such a situation. However, a common emotion felt is confusion. Cremation jewelry or mourning jewelry such as a cremation necklace can help deal with this confusion a little better.
Cremation Jewelry: A Beautiful Way of Keeping Them Alive
Cremation jewelry refers to a certain type of jewelry that either keeps ashes or any other form of the remnants of the deceased or jewelry made with the remains of the deceased. Such jewelry can help the person to deal with the situation and understand their emotions better. Cremation jewelry creates a physical entity for the wearer to feel and connect to their loved one.

How did Cremation Jewelry ...
... Come into being
The origins of cremation jewelry are not clear. It's the human tendency to keep the belongings and remains of a departed relative. This must-have created the idea of keeping small bits of the ashes or hair of the deceased in some sort of urns, rings or necklaces so as to always keep them close and cope better. In the 18th century after Prince Albert of England's death, a spike in the use of mourning jewelry and cremation jewelry pendants was seen as the royal family also wore mourning clothes and mourning jewelry.
The Various Types of Cremation Necklaces
There are various types of cremation jewelry like cremation urns, cremation jewelry pendants, cremation necklaces, etc. These can be made by either hollowing out the pendant piece so as to make a cavity to keep the ashes of the remains that can be incorporated into the necklace. A stopper or a screw is used to keep the remains secured inside the necklace. Through these necklaces, a continuous presence of the loved ones is felt.
What can be Used to Make a Cremation Necklace?
Almost anything belonging to or related to the dear departed can be used for making cremation necklace. Since such necklaces are small and not showy, only so much space is left for keeping the remnants. Things like ashes, locks of hair, their favorite flower, spice or herb in dried form, soil from their site of burial, a photograph, a poem, a piece of their favorite cloth, their jewelry, a metal engraving with their name or their words on it, a small piece of cloth or paper with their favorite fragrance on it or any other belonging can be used for the making of cremation necklaces.
