If you are a frequent traveler, chances are that you know a few of these tips already, but there is no harm in reminding yourself of a few tips that come in handy.

Be the last person to board

No one is going to give you an award for boarding the plan at the earliest. You are free to enter it within the specified time frame, even a minute before the stipulated time ends. You must, however, reach the waiting lounge in time, maybe an hour before the boarding begins. As soon as they make the announcement to begin boarding, you can let the people queue, while you read your book or listen to music as more people join the queue. As soon as there are only 1-2 people left in the row, you can casually join them, and enter without waiting for a long time.

Find three empty seats

If you follow the previous tip, you would enter the plane at last, and no one else will come after you. Unless you are traveling during the busiest hours, chances are that you will find three vacant seats, especially in the last rows. If you are lucky, grab ...
... those seats and have a blank expression on your face as if they are your seats! No one will question you, and you can peacefully sleep on them throughout your flight.

Carry your laptop properly

If you have not bought a good quality laptop bag until now, you must do it. Some airports require you to get the laptop scanned separately, which is why you must keep it in an easily accessible pocket. This will save you time and the people behind you in the queue will not get frustrated of you for wasting their time.

Use an identification mark for your luggage

Most suitcases are black in color, can you have to strain your eyes to spot yours from the long trail on the luggage belt. Make sure you tie a scarf, keychain, or anything else that makes your luggage stand out. You will be able to easily spot it from the long trail and save yourself from the embarrassment of grabbing someone else’s luggage.

Bring your own snacks

Don’t feel ashamed of taking out your own food and snacks from your bag if you don’t want to spend on the overpriced foods at the airport. You can bring dried nuts, biscuits, chips, sandwiches, and other dry foods to quench your hunger.

Book a cab or Car Rental from the airport

A few countries offer cheaper cabs and Car Rentals from the airport. You can book a Self-Drive Car in Mumbai, for example, at a discounted price unless you depart from the airport during the peak hours.

Bring an extra sweater or stole

Expect the airports and airplanes to be cold, and bring an extra stole or sweater. You can wear them when you feel cold, or simply use them as a pillow to snooze off.
