Sid Roth Interview Session With Jonathan Maracle
Sid: My guest by way of telephone is Jonathan Maracle. I’m speaking to him at the Tyendinaga Territory. Jonathan on yesterday’s broadcast I just basically touched upon this I want to understand it better. Our country, the United States of America, performed, and the only word that I have and the same word for Hitler’s Holocaust, atrocities on your people. And as I understand generational curses these curses continue until someone stronger can break these curses. Just for those that aren’t aware would you just in a minute or two tell me some of the low-lights of what happened to your people.
Jonathan: Well we can start right at the very beginning at 1492 when Christopher Columbus came and met the Arawak people. And when they came and they greeted him at the shores they were so kind and so loving to him they brought him gifts. And anything he asked for or showed he wanted he got for him, they shared anything they had. And his statement written in his journal said “These people are so kind and so caring and he said “Give me 50 good men and I’ll subjugate the whole bunch of them.” And then he went on he noticed ...
... that 2 of the people had an earring, one person had an earring and another person had a necklace of a little bit of gold in it. And so he immediately thought that they had hidden treasure. So he told them he said “You have to go and every 3 months you have to come back with X amount of gold and if your don’t have this amount of gold I’m going to cut your hands off.” And so he began to cut the hands off of these beautiful people who were willing to give anything to him. So the whole nation of Arawak people gave up their lives almost 55,000 people in fear they were dropping dead because they were so afraid of what was taking place, 100’s and 100’s of them had their hands cut off. And it went on, as it has gone on, through the trail of tears where our people our elders would drop dead by the way side and elders are the most precious of our people that their honored and we honor the experience of their lives but their lives were taken from them and the children. And you know we’ve had massacres were they’ve gone in and killed on mass all of our women and children and men were away on hunting parties or something. That’s what happened with Geronimo’s family, and that’s why Geronimo became such a staunch adversary of the United States because he came home to home and his children and his wife were all murdered in their home. This is the kind of thing that was perpetrated and what our history books in America they use the word forced they say that the First Nations people were forced westward. But they don’t every explain what they mean by forced. Well forced meant with a heart to annihilate, with a heart to destroy and what happened to our people. The statistics that I was able to come up with when the white man first came to North America they were at least 10 million at the very least 10 million First Nation’s people in North America. And by the year 1899 there was little over 200,000 First Nation’s people left in all of America.
Sid: What is your understanding about these curses? What affect do they have on our nation? And how can they be reversed?
Jonathan: Well Numbers chapter 14 it tells me that the sins of the fathers comes down onto the children. And I believe that the sin is perpetual it keeps going through the generations until it is stopped as you said earlier. And I believe that blood in the land from the sins that have happened it cries out for something to change. And only 3 weeks ago when I was in Delaware in Lewis, Delaware. I was here with Dutch people who were the first settlers from Europe into that area of the country and I had Nanticoke who are the original inhabitants of that region. God…these are both people that are Christian that have given their hearts to the Lord and some of the Nanticoke weren’t, but these people came together with a heart to see things broken to see this changed. And we went to the massacre sight and we took an arrow and we had to leaders of the white church and the white leaders there and we had the leaders of the Nanticoke people grab the arrow of both ends and break it together signifying the breaking of the curse that has come down between them over the generations. And then we had the Dutch people stand in the middle and then we had the Nanticoke leader who was a Christian and other Nanticoke people and then we stood and we prayed and released the Dutch people from the issues of the past that had taken place in that spot. And then, and then the Dutch and all of the other people prayed over the Nanticoke. Then embrace one another and then we took communion together over that spot and we claimed that that day the generational curse that the enemy had proclaimed was broken And we have seen in different place where this has taken place many massacre places where this has gone to and we’re seeing freedom, we’re seeing lives, we’re seeing people who were once adversaries as Christians turning and saying “My God what have I been doing?” You know the Bible tells us that a body needs to have all of its parts functioning and the body has been broken, it’s been separated and the First Nations People are a part of that and the ones of us who are Christians have always felt like we’ve been on the outside but now God is making away for us to be engrafted back in to that olive…to the trunk and we believe that this is part of our destiny to be a people who will be the generational curse beyond my people. We have cursed the curse shame and the loss of respect for our own lives and our own selves. And so we have been a people who have walked in this and it has been a most…everywhere you go alcohol, the highest rates of suicide in the entire earth are among the First Nations People.
Sid: And yet with the reparations that your people received and the gambling casinos and things like that on the outside looking in it looks like they’re prosperous financially, but that’s not what happening to them.
Jonathan: No, no it’s not that’s a false prosperity. In our hearts and the hearts of my people there has been a loss of identity we’ve been circumcised from who God created us to be. Because when God was up in heaven he wasn’t looking down at my people and going “Oops I made a mistake when I created He created the First Nations people.” He loves us just like He loves us just like He loves anybody else. And out people don’t know that, an so we believe that Jesus is the White Man’s God that’s what most First Nations traditional people think that Jesus is the White Man’s God. And so what God does is He gives me the anointing and the ability to go in to these places and to say “Jesus is not the White Man’s God Jesus was a tribal Man, Jesus was a Jew, Jesus was a man who understood what persecution was, He walked under the persecution of the Roman Empire.” I said “There’s no man on earth more positioned to be the Savior of our people than Jesus Christ.” And the traditional people will turn and they’ll begin to listen because they’ve been very bitter.
