Heritage Village

Visit Abu Dhabi’s Heritage Village, a remodelled Bedouin village which allows an insight into the pre-oil history of the city and traditional daily lives of the desert. Qasr Al Hosn

This captivating landmark is the oldest and most historically important monument in the city, dating back to the late 17th century. It’s a former residence of Abu Dhabi’s ruling family and has recently transformed into a museum which introduces you to the city’s development from a fishing village to a contemporary destination, with some interesting artefacts dating back as far as 6000 BC.

Entrance: Dh30 for adults, DH15 for children

Opening Hours: Saturday-Thursday 9am-7pm, Fridays 12-10pm

The Founders Memorial

This excellent cultural attraction is dedicated to the life and legacy of Sheikh Zayed, the founding father of the United Arab Emirates and introduces visitors to the rich cultural heritage of Abu Dhabi and the UAE. This monument and visitors centre is set around a series of stunning landscaped gardens and is home to a three-dimensional portrait of Zayed himself. Al Ain Palace Museum
