There is a good chance that every one of us has had a tooth decay at least once in our lives. A dental cavity can develop on anyone, whatever their age may be, although it usually affects those who love eating sweets. If you find yourself developing or suffering from a cavity, it is important that you go to your dentist to get it fixed as soon as possible. However, there are instances where a cavity can be rid of with certain home remedies.

• Clove oil. With its anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, applying clove oil on the affected area can help in healing a cavity. Repeat this process twice or thrice daily to get results.
• Garlic. Raw garlic is well-known in helping maintain oral health. To get the best results, eat the garlic cloves in the morning on an empty stomach.
• Green tea bags. Green tea decrease plaque formation in the mouth. Add honey and lemon juice to your hot green tea before consuming it to get the best results.

• Eggshells. Boil the eggshells for a few minutes and dry it. Once it has completely dried, finely grind them and mix with baking soda to form a paste. Use the resulting paste in place of your regular toothpaste.

Although there are no guarantees that your cavities will be healed using the remedies above, it never hurts to try. However, if you find that your cavities have gone worse, go to your dentist as soon as you can. After all, these medical professionals still have the best tools and treatment procedures to get rid of dental cavities and ensure that your teeth and gums are in their best condition.
