Rudraksha word is made by the combination of two words, “Rudra” and “Aksha” where Rudra refers to Lord Shiva and Aksha refers to tears of Rudra. Also known as the Utrasum Bead, scientifically it is the Elaiocarpus Ganitrus Roxb. Legend of the Origin of Rudraksha

As per the religious text Devi Bhagat Puran, Tripurasur was a very strong Demon who also had divine energy and power. It was because of this immense divine power he started to bother other sages and deities. The demon was not defeated by anyone. As his immoral actions increased, the Brahma, Vishnu and even many other deities went to Lord Shiva to destroy Tripurasur.
