Wireless extenders come with a comprehensive manual guide that includes the complete process. However, if you want to learn things in an easier language, this post provides you what you’re looking for. The first thing is to know about the terms that are connected with the device and its setup. Netgear extenders are configured through the NETGEAR Genie setup page.
You can also use the 192.168.1.250 IP address or mywifiext.net URL address to do the same. Just enter the IP or URL address in the browser and start the setup procedure.
Whichever way you choose, the installation takes similar easy steps. Furthermore, you can choose from two ways to set up your new WiFi extender.
● Manual Method
● WPS Method

... ● Enter into the URL address www.mywifiext.net. You can also enter into 192.168.1.250 if you want
● Check the box in which your WiFi extender came. Here, you will find default login credentials, i.e. username and password. Type in these credentials in the field provided for this info
● Click New Extender Setup

WPS or WiFi Protected Setup is a push and connects system that lets a user integrate their wireless extender with a WiFi network in a faster and more convenient manner. All you need is the help of one single button.
