When you’re working out heavily, you should eat protein rich snacks. Ideally it is recommended by doctors to eat at least 2 hours before you do any heavy physical activity. This is because your body needs enough time to digest the food before releasing it as energy for you to workout. If you eat too son pre-workout then your body becomes sluggish.

Protein is the best way to get adequate energy to fuel you for your workout as well as for the rest of the day. Drinking enough water is also essential to keeping your blood glucose concentration level stable.

Just like you should not drive a car without adequate fuel, in the same way you should not work out without enough food to burn in your system. If you do not eat enough, then you will not have energy to maximize your workouts.

Healthy Carbohydrates: Whole-wheat toast, whole-grain cereals, with low fat or skim milk, low-fat yogurt (which comes in different flavors), brown rice, whole grain pasta, fresh fruits and vegetables. Bananas is one of the best fruits to consume pre-workout, as it is high ...
... in sugar and easily digested so that you do not feel sluggish while exercising. Avoid eating saturated fats, because it takes longer to digest than other foods and takes away energy delivering oxygen to your body.

Eggs: Eggs are an important part of a diet. Especially for a person who trains regularly and is involved in high intensity workout sessions. The egg white provides protein, and the yolk is high in vitamins, minerals and healthy fats. They also support your body post-workout. Scrambled eggs, sunny side up, poached eggs, omelets served with toast are all delicious and healthy ways to cook the versatile egg.

Protein: Workout protein bar is a good option to grab right before a workout. It is made specifically for the purpose of supplying people who work out with a readymade snack.

Water: Water is essential to every workout. Sipping water at regular intervals helps in keeping energy levels up.

The best protein bars in India contain lots of oats, nuts like almonds, cashews, seeds like pumpkin and sunflower. All these ingredients are healthy as well as tasty and provide you with sustained energy to carry you through your workout. Raisins, dates are a source of natural sugar and hence ideal for a quick hit of energy pre-workout. A slice of toast or a sandwich with peanut butter and jelly, or nutritious vegetables is a great way to start your day and exercise. In terms of breakfast, a smoothie is also the ideal way to start your day on a healthy note. Smoothies are filled with delicious fibrous fruits and vegetables. You can also add almond milk, or protein powder to it to make it even more healthy and suitable as a pre-workout drink. Smoothies may also contain honey or maple syrup to give it a slight hit of sweetness but remaining healthy to drink daily. With so many delicious eating options, you should never forget to fuel your body before you work out.
