Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek 2 Days And 3 Days

Ghorepani Poon hill trek is one of the busiest trekking routes in the Annapurna trekking region. According to your time limit, you can do 2 days poon hill trek, 3 days poon hill trek, 4 days poon hill trek, 5 days poon hill trek or a few days longer.

Ghorepani Poon hill trek begins with a drive to Nayapul from Pokhara. There are public and private transportation available in Pokhara. It takes around 2 hrs to drive to Nayapul then treks to Tikhedhunga or Ulleri on the first day passing Birethanti, Sudame, and Hile villages.

2 Days Poon Hill Trek

For the 2 days poon hill trek, you will drive direct to Ulleri and walk about 4 hrs on the same day when you left Pokhara. You will spend a night in Ghorepani then visit Poon hill viewpoint the next morning and trek back to Ulleri or Nayapul and drive back to Pohara.

2 Days Poon Hill Trek Itinerary

Day 01: Drive from Pokhara to Ulleri and trek to Ghorepani (2850m)

... car to Nayapul then take a sharing jeep to Ulleri this morning. You need to start early morning today around 7 am and reach Ulleri by lunchtime. After having lunch here in Ulleri, you will trek about 4 hrs more passing Banthanti village and trek through a dense forest to Ghorepani leaving Nangethanti behind. You will spend your night in Ghorepani today.

Day 02: Hike to Poon hill (3210m) 1 hrs and trek back to Ulleri (3hrs) or Nayapul (6 hrs)

You will hike up to Poon Hill in the early morning with a flashlight to see the sunrise and the stunning Himalayan view of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna range. It is around an hour hike for slow trekkers and it is possible to do in a half an hour if you walk a little bit fast. You will enjoy unblocking sunrise with the view of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna massif from Poon hill and hike back to the lodge. You will have breakfast here and trek back the same way to Ulleri. If you think the hike is enough, you can drive back from Ulleri to Pokhara or if you would like to hike a few more hours, you can trek to Nayapul and take a drive to Pokhara.

3 Days Poon Hill Trek

Ghorepani Poon hill trek 3 days itinerary is a trek with less rush. You will drive to Nayapul and trek to Ulleri on the first day. After spending a night in Ulleri, you will trek to Ghorepani, enjoy the view from Poon hill and trek back to Hile on the second day. On the third day, you will trek to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara.

3 Days Poon Hill Trek Itinerary

Day 01: Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul and Trek to Ulleri

You will drive with private transport or public transport in the morning from Pokhara to Nayapul today. After getting off from the transport in Nayapul, you will start your trekking journey towards Ulleri crossing Modi river in Birethanti and follow Bhurungdi river. You will see some farmlands along the trail today. Passing Hile village and Tikhedhunga, you have steep part with lots of stone steps which takes you an hour and a half to 2 hrs to reach Ulleri. You will spend your first night here in Ulleri.

Day 02: Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani

After your breakfast in the lodge in Ulleri, you start your trek towards Ghorepani this morning. With gradually ascending trail to Banthanti, you enter inside the forest and trek through to Nangethanti. Here, you will have lunch and trek another hour to Ghorepani and stay overnight.

Day 03: Hike to Poon Hill and Trek to Hile

This is the main day that you will have a great view from Poon hill. You will hike to Poon Hill in the early morning with a flashlight. Hike to Poon Hill from Ghorepani takes maximum an hour for the slow hiker might take only a half an hour. You will enjoy with unblocking sunrise and the great view of the Himalayas from Poon hill station. After Poon Hill, you will hike back Ghorepani and have breakfast then trek back to Nayapul following the same trail and drive back to Pokhara.
