Regional Logistic Manager Brampton, Ontario

RESPONSIBILITIES

Source and manage carrier capacity to meet company needs for all in/outbound transportation requirements regionally, in order to attain the lowest possible delivery costs, while adhering to the company’s service levels
Optimization of warehousing and shipping/ receiving of in and outbound orders while supporting the company’s freight and logistics strategy
Manage all freight procurement functions including trucking capacity, development of new carrier sources, conducting bids/RFQ’s, selecting carriers, negotiations and managing service delivery on an ongoing basis
Work with service providers to facilitate the movement and storage of goods from and to production locations. Resolve issues, shipment delays missed appointments and damaged products.
Work with regional manufacturing plants, to create delivery schedules that optimize production and implement initiatives to reduce freight costs or improve service levels
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor Degree Preferred
Supply Chain/Logistics professional designation an asset
5+ years’ experience in material management preferably in a manufacturing/ distribution or transportation preferred
Implemented and understand the requirements and the methodology employed by ISO
