Walmart sellers can now rejoice as Walmart has announced free next day delivery services without membership in the US. This obviously refers to Amazon’s one-day delivery where the customers are required to pay a £79 prime membership fee for the entire year, to get eligible for the accelerated delivery promise.
This was a counterstroke to Amazon after it introduced to cut the delivery speed to half of the customers in the US. Walmart declaring its one-day free shipping services is an attempt to compete with Amazon’s last mile services in the US.

The free next day delivery would be available to Walmart.com customers of Las Vegas, Phoenix and Southern California. It will expand its reach gradually over the coming months and has an estimated plan of reaching at least 75% of the US population by the end of this year. The population coverage includes targeting 40-50 major metro cities of the US.
