1. The total distance of the Everest Base Camp from and to Lukhla is about 130 kilometers. This entire journey from Lukhla to Everest Base Camp and returning back takes about 14 days travelling 8 to 9 km a day. Many often say that it is the last 30 kms that takes maximum time due to the roughness of the terrain. At an elevation of 5542 meters, it is the highest point a civilian or a non-professional climber can reach.

6. Everest Base Camp Trek is a long and arduous uphill ascend, so it is important to pack your bags efficiently. It should not weigh more than 26 pounds at the max. Trolleys and duffle bags are never a feasible option for treks. It should always be a backpack or rucksack.
7. It is a complete myth if you think the trek to Everest Base Camp is going to be lonely and very sparsely populated. The trek route passes through some of the most unique and diverse villages like Digboche, Thengboche etc that are a great learning experience.
