A festival that is celebrated by over a billion people worldwide, Christmas is one of the biggest festivals celebrated around the world on the 25th of December every year. Christmas in India is celebrated with equal enthusiasm and passion as in other parts of the world yet has given it its own flavor.

India is a nation of different cultures and the people of India celebrate all major holidays with dedication, and show. The major festivals include Diwali Celebrations, Eid, Holi, Christmas and many more. Christians of various cults from different areas of India celebrate Christmas in various ways. However, the main symbolization and significance of certain days and rituals are common for all Christians. People of all religions participate in Christmas Celebrations in India. Even in places where there is no Christian population the city has got some attachment or significance so they make a big celebration with sales, food, and goodies.

Christmas is all about celebration and offers. Students get to experience the joy of giving. Children can be taught to make hand-made gifts for others. They can take part in the food-drive, toy-drive or gift-drive to less fortunate ones focusing on their needs.

The second graders can learn writing friendly letters to Santa, not only asking for toys or gifts but also wishing something for the world. Peace for everyone for example, or help endangered animals, food for all, keeping the planet clean and green. This will instill the spirit of consideration for others in their tender minds.

Children from different faiths participate in decoration and celebration. They study the differences, and yet the bond of love, warmth, cheer, and selflessness that impasse manhood together.
