According to the Islamic tradition, this is the place where Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had shown the miracle of the 'splitting of the moon' to the pagans who resided in this region in those times.

Masjid-e-Taneem is yet another important place that the pilgrims can visit during their time spent in the holy city. It is located in an area called Al-Hil, which is about 5 miles away from the holy Kaabah. This mosque is also known as Masjid-e-Ayesha, as Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) wife Ayesha (peace be upon her) had entered her state of 'ihram' or the 'pure state' at this place. In today's times, it has become a big mosque with plenty of facilities made available in it for performing ablutions, taking baths, and changing. These facilities have been provided not only for pilgrims but also for the faithful who arrive at this mosque for their regular prayers.

Yet another important place worth visiting for the pilgrims during their time spent in Makkah is Jabal al-Noor. This mountain is located in the Hejazi region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia near Makkah. As it is home to the renowned 'Cave of Hira', this mountain has a special significance among Muslims throughout the world. This cave is the place where Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had spent a considerable amount of time in deep contemplation. It is also the place where he received his first revelation of the Holy Quran through the Archangel Jibreel (A.S).
