Taratata Brasserie opened in 2011 offering patrons a perfectly managed French cuisine experience and warm, friendly service. Located along the enclave of Keong Saik Road, step into this quaint world reminiscent of a typical Parisian estaminet where crimson burgundy banquettes adorn the interior, and black and white photos embellished walls each tells a story of the romanticism so often associated with France. The ambience, a radiating warmth and coziness, adds to the relaxed, easy yet sophisticated atmosphere that is as timeless as the classic French cuisine served. Amidst the ever-changing gastronomic landscape in Singapore, Taratata Brasserie stays true to its’ culturally rich, centuries old allure with great fervour reflected both on and off the menu captivating diners from near and afar.
Go on a multi-sensory expedition to France at Taratata Brasserie with Chef / Owner Bertrand Raguin, as he takes you on a journey to the discovery of his culinary philosophy. Every dish is the materialisation of a vision and harmonisation of various ingredients and piquancy with time-honoured classics. time-honoured classics.

Using ...
... his vast knowledge and experience gained from his apprenticeship, culinary training at the Académie d'Orléans-Tours and subsequently at various French restaurants all over the world, Bertrand prides himself on his strong commitment to responsible sourcing, serving up dishes prepared with fresh ingredients and mostly imported produce from France where they are not available locally.

Taratata Brasserie welcomes the Autumn Winter Season with the launch of its Lunch and Dinner Set Menus, carefully curated to please even the most discerning palates.

Lunch presents the option of either the 2-course ($38++) or 3-course menu ($45++). Choose an entrée from a selection of familiar favourites such as the Baked Escargots, Cream of Mushroom Soup or the Duck Liver Mousse infused with Port Wine, while Mains feature hearty French classics such as Duck Confit, Steamed French River Trout and Steak Frites. Desserts are an integral part of a traditional French meal, and an all home-made Chocolate Mousse, Chocolate Lava Cake or Crème Brulee is guaranteed to end the meal on a sweet note.
The 4-Course Dinner Set Menu (at a very modest $78++ per person, two to dine) starts with the classic Lobster Bisque, followed by a choice of Salmon Tartare or Pan-Seared Foie Gras, Kurobuta Pork Casserole, Wagyu Beef Skewers or Coquilles St. Jacques are the featured mains; and choose from either a dessert or cheese platter to round off the meal.

All dishes served are prepared à La Minute and never in advance, a rarity at a day and age where establishments prefer to serve at a fast pace so as to encourage high table turnovers. Far from being the case here, be prepared to wine and dine the way our forefathers gathered for a meal with shared wit and humor over a real meal with real food, cooked in real time not intended for the antsy or impetuous diner.

Bertrand Raguin, Chef and Owner of Taratata Brasserie recalls a high school student who was driven by his dream of opening a restaurant where “at 15 I started my apprenticeship while in culinary school. I was intrigued by how simple ingredients can be combined to result in an explosion of flavours, and how each dish carries the heart and spirit of the person who made it. Food always makes me happy, and I wanted to be able to make other people happy, too with my food - there’s no other word to describe the joy of tasting passion on a plate.”

25 years later, Taratata Brasserie was born, encapsulating one man’s childhood dreams and his legacy to simply ‘make people happy’. Cosy up at the corner of a banquette with wine and a loved one, break bread with family and friends, or seal that deal in a comfortable setting.
Taratata Brasserie is a place where time stands still and memories are made.
