Capitalizing On Social Media In The Age Of Information

The United States has been experiencing a loss of jobs for many years, however for decades now America has been experiencing a surge in the loss of jobs that has NOT gone unnoticed. The news media continues to report the loss of more jobs in the USA constantly.

Much of job loss is due to the current economic woes, but part is due to the fact that jobs are just going to be shifting to other countries because to one of two reasons: the availability of lower wages in other markets and the fact that, in America, information is becoming the prevailing resource.

Everyone lived through the surge of the Industrial Age but many find it hard when it comes to moving into the Information Age where they see their jobs disappearing and moving to societies who are just now coming of age as an industrial society.

Just like in the Industrial Age people lost jobs, many of them which have never returned, while others made changes to survive. There is not a huge market for marking horse whips anymore. Automobiles killed lots of jobs but also created lots of jobs too.

Now when people who have been building cars or working ...
... in some other manufacturing job whose existence is fading, they will need to retool their brains to survive.

That is not to say that all the labor jobs in America will disappear, it just means that a good portion of them will and those that have improved their knowledge base through higher education will be the ones who are able to make the transition into a fully functioning Information Age.

As people lose their jobs, they will be forced to either make a transition by going back to school and retraining to be able to acquire a new job in the labor force or some other service or become part of the Information Industry. If they do not do so, they will end up on the streets and lose everything they have.

One can not stay unemployed indefinitely and maintain a normal lifestyle. Living on the streets is the last option a person should choose.

We have not reached the peak of the Information Age and may never will. New information is being generated every day as enterprising people come up with new and better resources for people to incorporate into the life.

It was not many years ago that the Internet was introduced to the world and we all know what a change that has brought about.

It was almost sixty years ago that Television was introduced and it took decades for for TVs to be in every home. The Internet Revolution has moved us quickly into the Information Age and still continues to drive us even deeper.

Having the Internet as a resource has created opportunities for enterprising people to create societies within the world wide web where people can connect via email, blogging, chatting, sharing pictures - videos and so much more. More information!

Every month, over 750 million people use Search Engines to find products and websites.

Every month, over 61 billion keyword searches are done.

With this surge in how people access information, the question will be: How does one tap into the Social Media Revolution in an Age of Information.

For people who have a product, service, venture, opportunity, business, or anything that is a source of revenue for their home and family, knowing how to capitalize on the resources of the Internet will be a central key to their prosperity.

For people to grow their business, be it offering a product or service and now even information, there are certain resources they will need to know about.

It is not in just knowing about them that makes them useful. It is knowing how to access them and use them as a resource. Knowing that Facebook exist does not make it useful to one, it is knowing how to access Facebook and tap into the resource of people in that Internet Society.

Not only do people need to retool their brain, they need to tool-up in the resources they use to be able to capitalize on all the resources available where they can prospect. Social Media is drawing tens and hundreds of millions of people to central locations on the Internet and knowing how to access those millions of people will put a business or individual in the leading edge of whatever industry they are in.

Not only are we in experiencing a revolution in the Age of Information, we are experiencing a surge in the the speed at which information is assimilated into society.

What will all of this bring about? A surge in the number of companies that offer information and how to share that information with others. Those that provide information and the tools for people to use to capitalize on Social Media groups, will be those that are at the leading edge of this new revolution in the Information Age.
