The village of Archipolis is built on the slope of mountain called Axintes. It is located in a lush green environment as there are lot of streams in the area. It is one of the traditional villages in Rhodes. There is a small village square where you can find several taverns, cafés and small shops.

You can also go to the St. Nektarios church that lies at a distance of two kilometres from here. It looks very beautiful as it is under a shade and also has river flowing in front of it. The place is picturesque and large which makes it a suitable venue for baptism services and weddings.
Another attraction is the religious festival that is held on 25th and 26th of October to pay homage to St. Dimitrios who was the patron saint of the village. On the festival the traditional dances and traditional songs are played which makes the festival very different.
The main street in the village is an attractive place with many small cafes, shops, taverns and bars. The village has a lot to make your holidays the best Rhodes holidays.
Reaching the Village:
If you have finally decided to pay a visit to the Archipolis village during your Summer Rhodes holidays 2010, then it's very convenient to reach the place. The signs on the road side as you leave the airport will make out the way easier for you. You will reach Marista as soon as you cover a distance of 100 m. You will reach the Archipolis Village in the south as you cover a further distance of 5 kilometres.
