Facing the possibility of mortgage foreclosure and scratching your head in confusion of how you are going to combat this disturbing problem? Many of us are currently caught in this mess, as the financial depression that most of us are facing has culminated in undesirable situations such as pay-cuts, job layoffs and retrenchment to name a few. As a result, many out there struggle to service their mortgage payments, and end up facing home foreclosure trouble. If you are in this dilemma, I am sure that you are wondering of what way could work for you to stop home foreclosure effectively before the whole foreclosure process starts! Well, fortunately there are several ways to stop foreclosure effectively, as listed below:

1) First and foremost, try to re-align all your payments for each month, and push your mortgage loan payments right to the top of the list. It is much better to lose your car or your telephone connection rather than to lose your home, I am sure you agree with me on this one! Thus make your home your number one priority, and forget about all other payments until you catch up on your mortgage payments.

2) ...
... Before the foreclosure process can commence, you have the option of drafting out a hardship letter to stop foreclosure by negotiating with your creditors before your home is auctioned off! Draft your letter carefully and make sure that the letter is as personal and convincing as possible. You would need to gain the sympathy of your lenders, and the best way to do this is by writing a personal hardship letter (with all the supporting documents attached) to explain to them why you have not been able to pay your monthly payments as per agreed. With some luck, you could probably end up with a refinance package to save your home!

3) Another way to stop the foreclosure process is by taking up government-assisted options such as the Mortgage Modification Plan that was introduced by the President's office. Although the duration of the application process may be lengthy, it is still worth a try!

4) Request for a hearing at the local circuit court, and postpone foreclosure from taking place indefinitely. There are hundreds of cases waiting to be heard at every local court across the country, thus if you are lucky, it could take close to two years before your case is heard! That means plenty of time for you to work something out financially to salvage your home from being seized!

As you have witnessed, there are plenty of methods available out there to put a stop to foreclosure before the process even starts. Choose the one that suits you best, and good luck!
