ABBYY FineReader delivers very good multilanguage capabilities which perform Optical Character Recognition in more than 180 languages. The program can recognize documents which contain different language combinations. Follow these steps in order to get premium Optical Character Recognition results for documents including Asian languages:
1. Disable the Automatic Page Orientation Detection when all images are with the correct orientation, and choose Dual Page. These two options can be disabled in the Image Scaning and Opening dialog boxes, or from the Options box on the Scan/Open tab.
2. When the document has a complicated layout, it is advisable to disable Automatic Analysis and OCR for images and do the check manually. Open the Options box and select Do Not Read and Analyze Acquired Page Images Automatically and hit OK.
3. If you would like to get maximum speed and accuracy, use only the languages needed. You can do this from the Pages window. Choose More Languages and Specify Languages Manually.
