Get More Visibility Of Your Site With Traffic Exchange Programs-00-6103

A number of traffic exchange websites are available these days offering exchange programs for site owners. Webmasters or owners of various sites submit their website at any of the numerous exchange sites for greater traffic and hits. It's a great way to boost the traffic on a web site. A person or site owner while surfing an exchange website may come across a site posted by another webmaster or member and post a link of that site on his own portal. This leads to an increased traffic and the number of hits the site receives also goes up substantially. A time limit ranging from a few seconds to a minute is also imposed by some of these exchange programs on the surfing time of the members. Various techniques such as captcha entry are also used for authentication purposes.
Boosting the hit count
As discussed earlier, the main target of these programs is to augment the online traffic on a particular site. Both auto as well as manual traffic exchange are available, subject to certain terms and time limit. In case of auto ...
... surfing, the sites are automatically rotated by a program named auto surf based on a database, thus requiring no human intervention. This is primarily aimed at increasing the number of hits on a site. This technique is, however, controversial since it manipulates the actual hits on a website and therefore hides its true popularity. A major reason for the popularity of traffic exchange programs is the ranking method used by search engines. A site with a higher hit count is placed higher in a search result than a site with a lower hit count. Such a technique of ranking is however now considered outdated and no longer used for SEO purposes. A better benchmark for site popularity is a term called bounce rate which represents the level of interest visitors have in the contents of a site. Higher the bounce rate, lower the interest. It is chiefly determined by the amount of time a user spends on a particular site.
A Tool for Business Promotion
Most of the traffic exchange programs provide their services for a cost and charge money for the traffic generated. There is however ways to generate traffic exchange for free. Posting links to a site on social networking sites such as facebook and orkut is one such way of generating traffic for free. The traffic exchange programs are mainly used by commercial and business establishments to attract visitors to their sites and generate business. These programs are also used as a means of advertising of businesses.
