The recent economic slump took a toll on the price of gas and it has not fully recovered ever since. As a result of this, those wanting to go for a road trip are hindered by the meager budget they have. Everybody loves a good vacation, going from place to place to experience new cuisines, go sightseeing and meet other people as well. However, for those who do not have enough gas money, Boston is a great place to have a vacation for it is a one-stop destination.

For people who are interested in becoming beach bums, Boston has a lot of beaches to offer. There are stretches of sand available near the city as well as those up the North Shore. Going to Revere Beach, the first public beach in the US, one can take Blue Line. The Red Line, meanwhile, goes to Carson Beach, Pleasure Bay, Castle Island and L & M Street Beaches.
