Dungeoneering, the new skill released to RuneScape April 12th, 2010, can seem overwhelming to the RuneScape player new to the skill. This following guide will seek to simplify the tutorial process for beginning Dungeoneering.

The first step is to access Daemonheim. This is accomplished by sailing from Al Kharid n the new boat behind the bank. See Getting to Daemonheim slideshow for more info.

Once in Daemonheim, follow the path up the mountain. The Daemonheim area, despite being east of the wilderness, is not in the wilderness and there are no revenants. Head west, then north up the path, ignoring the yellow dots. Pass into the castle where there is a bank and a building with a question mark on the minimap; the Dungeoneering tutor is found there. Talk to the Dungeoneering tutor to receive a ring of kinship.

Proceed to the bank and deposit all items in inventory and all worn items except the ring of kinship; Orb of Oculus is the only other item allowed in the dungeons.

There are two ways to start the minigame; oops start Dungeoneering. One option is simply to enter the free-for all barrier and play ...
... a game with random RuneScape players who also enter.

The second option is to click on the ring to set up a party. The RuneScape player becomes the party leader and then can either play solo or invite up to four other players. When ready to play, climb down one of the two dungeon entrances.

The dungeon entrances are hard to spot. They are located in the corners of the wall just on the opposite side of the north wall of the bank/tutor building. The following slideshow will provide greater detail.
