This spectacular lake one of the highest in Asia adjacent to the Himalayan glacier is located almost near to China border passing through various deployments of Indian Army Units After a tiresome 3 hours journey from Lachen when the sight of the mesmerising lake appears the feeling is awesome. Light snow and crystal clear blue water makes it a heavenly sight. The lake emits an unavoidable holy aura; spending ten minutes there will rejuvenate you in and out. The look on both sides of the approach road to the lake is stunning with no vegetation at all; no civilians, only army and their bunkers can be noticed far at the mountain slopes. The lake requires entry permit which the tour operator can arrange for.
CHOPTA VALLEY
You can’t skip Chopta Valley if you are visiting Gurudongmar Lake; it’s a picturesque place with much needed stop over for food and bio – break. It’s a post card like beautiful valley with a few small rivers running through, dirty roads and small sized huts offering home stay flanked by grand snow covered mountains all around the valley. The views from the top especially when you are nearing Kala Patthar are simply awesome
NORTH WEST INDIA
JAIPUR: Jaipur known as the “Pink City” for its pink tinted constructions, is encompassed by barren hills is filled with forts. The Hawa Mahal is a beautiful red sand stoned structure with 950 windows. The Amber Fort is known for its splendid architecture and The Jantar Mantar which is a UNESCO World heritage site.
