How do you plan to travel?
Schools/ banks/ hospitals and supermarket nearby: this is in sync with the first point. Your house has to be nearby to the school/college ...
... where your kids are enrolled. Even if you do not have kids, you still have to go to the bank. What about a hospital visit? We are not saying that you have to stay nearby the best hospital in the city. But, it has to be near a hospital, at least within a range of 10 kms so that in case of an emergency you can rush to it.
Should be within the budget: you must have decided on a budget? stick to it. Most of us end up over spending on the property that we purchase. If you tell your agent that your budget is of 50,000 dollars, he will invariably show you a property that is more than that. This is because the higher the cost of your house, the higher their margin of profit will be. So you need to be careful of these gimmicks and stay away from them.
Free of any legal hassle: read through all the documents carefully. Make sure that all the paper work is verified by you. Ask you lawyer to go through them meticulously. In case, you don’t like any particular point and would like to get it modified then convey it to the agent. Just don’t sign the papers just because you are eager to buy the property. Moreover, make sure that there are no legal cases pending against the house. The property should be free of any kind of legal hassles.
