Top 8 Travel Hacks To The Ireland
In my visit to Ireland in the last summer, I came to know a lot of things about the country that I only heard or not heard at all. Ireland is though a small one but such an interesting territory that proffers plenty to do and experience to the tourists. It was a great experience to visit Ireland but when I think of it, there were times when I could make my tour even adventurous if I had known some points earlier. As the summers are again on way, here I will discuss 8 travelling hacks to Ireland so that you can enjoy your trip to its full and avoid doing mistakes that I did during my tour. Also, it will allow you to enjoy the Island at its peak without worrying much about your pocket and budget.
1.Anything can be anytime: if you planned to go hiking but after half an hour in your way, it will be heavy rain with storm then don’t get surprised. Ireland is not like a country whose weather remains the same throughout the day or week. The weather in Ireland changes in no time so making few arrangements before going anywhere will help you to keep on with your plan. A raincoat, a sweater and an umbrella are the three basic ...
... things that you should have. During my trip, I and my friends had a plan to go to Loughshannagh for a picnic. We had our maps and picnic bags ready and of course we had checked the weather forecast; it was all clear and green signaled but as we were on our way, it started raining and in no time our car was panting by hailstorms. The rain was heavy so we have to make our way back to home. In such kind of scenario, you will not be able to pursue your plan but if you have a plan like visiting an attraction or being a part of some festivals then umbrella and raincoat can help.
2.September welcomes you with warm heart: there is a mega event called the Culture Night that holds in September every year. This event opens its door for the tourists to host a programme of late night entertainment. More than 3000 events and functions take place during this night where tourists can enjoy games, fun, food, live music, dance and a lot more. All the events in the Festival are absolutely free. The Culture Night will be held on the 29th of September.
3.Be a celebrity of your own: Though it’s not particularly a travel hack but I am sure you would love to learn this fact. Have you been a fan of Game of Thrones or Star Wars? I am pretty sure you were and you are so if then wouldn’t it be a magical experience for you to visit the sites where these two magnificent pieces of art were created? Of course it will be. The Northern Lights in Donegal and the sites where your favorite celebrities had walked can be under your feet when you are in Ireland.
4.Enjoy free entry: I am a person who searches for the ‘sale’ sign everywhere and I am sure most of the ladies or even men are like that. The part I like about a place is when it comes for free or at a very low cost; Ireland being the best to fulfill my desires. Often an unheard news but Ireland offers an absolutely free entry to all of its museums and galleries. There are dozens of art galleries and museums in the island and all of these proffers free entry to the visitors. And if you are thinking that it may be because its history is boring or dull then accept my pardon because it’s not true. The history of Ireland is filled with most wonders and bumps a country can have. So, a visit is a must. However, exhibitions like the Master of Genre Painting and Vermeer are exceptions where visitors have to pay some for making entrance into the halls.
5.Free Wi-Fi: most of the tourists remain worried while visiting a foreign country because of unavailability of internet but it will not be the case if you are in Ireland. Most of the places in Ireland offer free Wi-Fi so it would be very easy for the tourists to stay connected while moving. I had used internet without spending a penny when I was in Ireland, all thanks to its restaurants, hotels and shops.
6.Staying at one place: the total population of Ireland according to the census of 2017 is around 4.7 million that means the territory is a small one. Unlike the other large countries where travelers have to switch their accommodations from one city to another, tourists in Ireland can stay at one place and enjoy a tour to wherever they want. So, every city in Ireland can be visited without changing your base. It will not only cut cost of your stay but also save your from fatigue of carrying luggage and shifting hotels.
7.A live performance: many of the pubs around Ireland offers free live performances in which traditional music is presented to the tourists. The experience is great as one of my friends had been at a pub called the Brazen Head. He had explained the café as a fantastic place and also talk about the music performance that every person sitting at the bat at that time enjoyed wholly and the best part was, it was for free.
8.Wednesday is best: Ireland offers cheap flights for some unique and interesting things so when you are here, make sure to enjoy all such things. At the first Wednesday of every month, the Heritage Ireland sites across the country provide free access to their lounges. So, if you are interested in one, go and grab a free tour to the inside of these amazing sites. Let the Wednesday offers the best of it to you!
