Allegedly, through the months of January and November 2009 the Dalai Lama’s emails were being observed without his knowledge. While I don’t see how this would benefit the “Chinese gang of hackers”, apparently it just might.

To my utter surprise, “dozens of high-level government networks, embassies, international organizations and others have been penetrated and confidential, sensitive, and private documents stolen,” according to a report written by Telegraph.co.uk.

And here I thought his email might only reveal some embarrassing photos of “His Holiness”.

The report goes on to say “The hackers allegedly stole classified reports about the security in several Indian states, and about several Indian missile systems, including the new Shakti artillery system and the Iron Dome mobile missile defense system. The hackers also stole documents about ...
... the movements of NATO workers in Afghanistan.”

Seems like a lot of information for the Dalai Lama to have streaming through his email address, but maybe that’s just my thoughts. Besides the Dalai Lama isn’t on trial here, it’s the “Chinese gang of hackers,” that we should all be worried about.

I’m not trying to come up with a conspiracy theory on the Chinese government or anything, but I do wonder what is going on in China causing them to even think about hacking into the Dalai Lama’s accountsâ€especially with this coming to the surface just a few months after the Google/China fiasco.

We need to ALL remember to take strides to protect our information and it seems the more we grow as a digital society that even with the advances in security it is becoming more prevalent to have identity theft and hacked information.

As a professor once told me, “Never write anything viral that you wouldn’t mind having published on the front page of the newspaper.”
