Its well known around the world that Australia leads the way in beach and resort wear. Given our relaxed beach lifestyle and hence fabulous beachwear designs, Australia is becoming well known for its swimwear and ladies rashies.

Here in Australia, we know how to combine classic designs with ultimate sun protection and make it look good! Given it’s a summer staple in our wardrobe every year, we know that we want to be able to be sun protected as well as not compromising on style. Gone are those shapeless sun protection tops which are usually too short in the body length and also too short in the sleeve length. No, we want something that is going to fit properly and make sure that what we want covered, is actually covered.

Here at Cat & I, this is our main focus and the reason why we decided to start designing our own range of ladies rashies. The fit is so important as it needs to fit the way you want it to fit. Either you are a ‘I like it a snug fit’ lady, or a ‘I like a more relaxed fit’ lad. Regardless of what kind of fit you are, it is a matter of getting the correct size so you can have the snug or relaxed fit. It also depends on what activities you are wanting to use it for. Anything that involves water and getting wet, you may find that a more snug fit works better as it will be more like a second skin when you are in the water. If it is something that you are wanting to pair up with everyday wear to wear out and about, you may find the more relaxed fit works better for you.

Then one of the most exciting things about Australian designs are the awesome prints and colours that come out every year. Yes, you can still get the solid colours such as black or blue, but there are also so many options with on trend prints. Why not look at something with a nice pattern to it which gives it a bit of interest? Also, a good splash of colour looks good on practically everyone.
