The Sony Xperia 1 will obviously enter the UK market in a few months. The release date has not been directly confirmed by Japanese OEMs, but British retailer Clove is now listing the equipment online and revealed that it will arrive at the end of May.

Clove Technologies, a UK-based SIM-free mobile phone retailer, announced that its flagship Sony Xperia 1 will be available sometime after the end of May.

Sony Xperia 1

Both widescreen and standard units feature optical image stabilization. As usual, the imaging system is powered by Sony's BIONZ X mobile engine, if Xperia 1 introduces Eye AF. It is basically an auto focus that focuses on the eye level. The front end is an 8 megapixel unit located on the top bezel.

Internally, the Xperia 1 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. With 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage, all powered by a 3,330mAh battery and Android 9 Pie. Biometric technology is handled by a side-mounted fingerprint scanner
Black, purple, gray and white are the color choices, but only the first two will be available in the US, and it will arrive in the late spring. Price information is not yet available.

First Impression
