We can't recommend XZ2 Premium at full price, but 50% discount is a completely different story

Remember Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium? The enhanced version of Sony is already very good. The XZ2 is an excellent mobile phone and the price is very optimistic. £799, we won't (and don't) recommend it to anyone. But now at Laptops Direct, you get a 4K screen phone for just £399.

Now, before we move on, let me keep in line with you: 4K on your smartphone is silly. Sony is launching the magic bean here, I used to be very early. Frankly, you don't have magical eyes, and no one else: on a 5.8-inch screen, you can't tell. And (perhaps for battery reasons) 4K is locked in a few applications anyway. This is a top level feature.

But just because it has a pointless selling point does not mean that the rest is worthless, and in all other respects, XZ2 Premium will work with the best of them. It comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, which means it's as good as any phone last year, and phones with more advanced features are just beginning to emerge.

Most importantly, it added 2GB of RAM to the Vanilla XZ2 for ...
... a total of 6GB. Although the bundled 64GB internal storage may be good for most people, you can also use a 400GB microSD card if you really want it. Storage is not going to be a problem at all.

Another area that has been improved on the regular XZ2 is the camera, which is now a dual array setup. This 19-megapixel f/1.8 main camera is equipped with a 12-megapixel secondary buckle for added depth. This is a small but important improvement.

When the Xperia XZ2 Premium is £799, there is of course a better option. £399, it weakens the OnePlus 6T, Samsung Galaxy S9 and almost all similar advanced specifications. If only one Sony will do it, then please do yourself a favor, buy one now.
