True Motivation To Lose Weight

The motivation to lose weight isn't as simple as it might seem. There are people that are in shape that sometimes judge and can't understand why overweight people cannot just lose weight. There is so much information on the internet and so many theories, pills, diets that it can be confusing to all of us. Which one works? How quickly does it work? Are there any health risks?
The problem with the internet is that there are so many choices with minimal information on the product or process to lose weight. Everyone is trying to sell us on their product, and there is not enough information for us to process and make our own educated choices on which to choose. From a mental perspective, this can leave one just exhausted and unmotivated to even start.
Those of us that truly need to lose weight all wish we could lose it overnight, don't we? There is not one person who knows he or she has to lose weight that didn't wish the magic genie would pop out of the bottle giving us that one wish (although I would hope it would be two; could use some cash). Since this isn't truly a viable option, patience is truly virtue in this case.
The bottom line is that we must all look in the mirror one day and decide we want to change our appearance. If we realize that change is needed, we can start to set realistic goals. Losing weight is a marathon, not a sprint and we must look at it that way. Even a pound a week lost is 52 lbs in a year (and we all know how these years have been flying lately). So figure out the diet that is best for your lifestyle, throw in some exercise and buckle yourself in for the long ride.
