When there is an elevation of hormones that is called glucocorticoids which are produced by adrenal glands of the body. These hormones are the cause of tear of fiber in the skin while they are stretched. It’s not the weight gain that cause the stretch marks but it’s the hormonal change in the body which cause them. It’s not that you can’t avoid them because even doctor agree to that can be avoid, as genetic plays an important role in whether you can get one or not.
Doctors have divided these stretch marks into two type that is rubra or alba. The first one that is rubra is pinkish or inflamed colour marks. As the time passes they turn into alba that slivery white colour marks on the body. That means that is marks have turn into mature once over the time, so there is nothing much you can do to them. So when you have the immature marks on your body you need to apply some oils. That helps to stop the itchiness on your body. As it is soothing for the skin that stops the tearing of skin fiber.
Mostly doctors recommend vitamin A oils or some kind of creams that contain retinol in them which should be applied once a day. That will start showing the results within six weeks or more as per the skin type. There are not many creams than contain retinol so instead of using those you can use face cream on the affected area that is also very affective. For the deeper and big stretch marks they are asked to use the recommended creams or oils on the marks, instead any other one.
As retinol should not be used during your pregnancy as its not healthy for the baby, so they are told to not use such cream or stop using them till the baby arrives. There are some sensitive skins that cannot accept retinol treatment as their skin starts to peel or have red marks on the places where applied. There is another option which is introduced in the market that is Mederma stretch marks cream, which is been tested. Stretch Marks treatment have many option available as per the skin type of the patients.
In stretch marks removal treatment different creams are used one is over- the- counter cream that contain onion extract and different other kind of herbs in it. Which is anti-inflammatory, hyaluronic acid, which helps in hydrating the skin and makes it looks fresh and also avoids itchiness in the skin.
