Data Loss - Can Be Saved
Computer data, the digital data that we collect for some purpose, let it be for business or personal use. It is important for us as we are investing lot of time in collecting that data. When data is lost due to some physical or logical reason from the electronic media, it can incur many losses in our business. Data recovery is retrieving data that is deleted and inaccessible from electronic storage devices such as hard drives and other storage devices. There are various reasons due to which data can be lost for an electronic media such as electro-mechanical failure, viruses, human error, natural disaster, data corruption and many more reasons.
Over last few years, the size of the hard disk has been eventually increasing upto 350 GB. Due to this, the failure rate caused by mechanical defects has also been increasing, but this information is never provided on the product specification of that hard disk. As today's user groups are divided into two groups; one is having good knowledge about computers and data, has experienced the data loss previously so they may take good care to prevent data loss. But other group has ...
... not yet got the experience about the data loss, so it may not have the importance of saving data from all the reasons. In first type of users, they will be very careful for taking back up for the information such as files, pictures, mails and many other type of digital data that is available in our computer system on the CD / DVD or other type of storage devices that are required for taking back ups.
In corporate sector, there are IT departments and network administrator that take the initiative for taking regular back ups of the company's important digital data. Network administrators are held responsible for any loss of data. So they are very responsible people kept for this type of job. But back up alone cannot save the data, we have to save data from virus attack also. We have to protect our data from viruses also. They can destroy our data, delete or can pass our important data to other people who can create threat to the company. Even data can be lost due to hard disk failure or simply by human error, which can also imply heavy loss of digital data.
The other type of group, which are not very much interested in knowing what data loss is, they live in a risk but unaware of that risk till the time data loss take place. They are not aware that it is an electro-mechanical device and can fail and stop servicing them due to any reason. Due to which one day all the data is lost and they are helpless from recovering that valuable data. Almost 30 % of the small-scale companies admit that they are not aware of importance of data back ups, so they don't have formal data back up procedures present in their organisations.
To prevent data from any kind of damages, back ups should be taken on regular basis, that can help to maintain the data from loosing. To get more information on this topic you can visit Save My System's link.
