High-fat Breakfast Benefits People's Health
Professor Molly Ray who is from United States University of Alabama School of Public Health led the team to find that breakfast contained sufficient fat can effectively promote metabolism a day, which help the body digest the food and subsequently absorb various foods. If breakfast is rich in carbohydrates, the carbohydrate metabolism in the body would be started whatever kind of foods are ingested, metabolic function would be unchanged. This research is published on International Journal of Obesity. Daily Mail quoted the words of Martin Young, one of the researchers, which reported that the breakfast control the metabolic mechanism how to run all day, a breakfast rich in carbohydrates is responsible for opening the carbohydrate metabolism all day, a breakfast rich in fat can help improve the flexibility of converting the metabolism to carbohydrate metabolism and improve metabolic efficiency. The research result gives strong theoretical support to people who love bacon breakfast, at the same time, it verify an old saying widely circulated in the West: eat breakfast like a king, eat lunch like a prince and eat dinner like a beggar.
Ray ...
... said their research focused on the relation between body weight and eating time, the type of food. "Some previous studies focused on the type and quantity of the food while some previous studies pay more attention on the sleep and rest, but few people pay attention to the eating time and the type of food. The researchers want to observe mice's characterization of metabolic syndrome by controlling the eating time and the type of food. The characteristic of metabolic syndrome is abdominal obesity, elevated triglycerides, insulin resistance, high risk of suffering from cardiovascular disease and so on. The results show that mice which absorb high fat breakfast are healthier, the weight of mice which absorb carbohydrate-rich breakfast and high-fat dinner would increased, in other words, carbohydrate metabolism become problems and the risk of developing diabetes increase. The researchers said high-fat breakfast should be matched with low calorie lunch or dinner. If you eat high-fat or carbohydrate-rich dinner, no matter what you eat for breakfast, weight gain and other diseases caused by the obesity can be led.
The researchers suggested that it is important to absorb fat and carbohydrates for metabolic efficiency, people who trying to lose weight or maintain weight should fully understand the timing of food intake, quality and quantity.
