Avoid use of memo fields- Use of memo fields should be avoided as this might result in corruption although indirectly. As a result, some content in the memo fields might be lost. However, if you wish to have memo fields then keep them in separate tables and create a one-to-one relationship with the parent table(s). The best way will be to move memo tables in different backend database file and name it indicating towards its original purpose.
Creation of temporary tables for accelerating queries- If you run complex queries, then its quite possible that Access writes temporary data that you might not just see. This might happen when a query working with small data works slowly and stresses on JET engine. If at this time, Access gets choked, then you might just end up with corrupt back-end MDB file. So to prevent this corruption from disrupting the routine work, write some temporary data to temporary tables. Although, there is no method known to recommend but it is suggested that you analyze the specifics and run some tests to make sure of the best solutions available.
Save temporary tables in Back-end- If you experience your database creating, populating or deleting temporary tables, then keep these tables in different backend databases to prevent unnecessary inflation of data. This way you can name this backend as desired which can be shared locally if required.
