The concept of retirement homes has undergone a change, with the name itself now being independent senior living communities or assisted living. The services offered include fulfilling the social, emotional, and physical care needs - including understanding what the lifestyle choices of a 60-year-old person vis-a-vis those of a 70- year-old.
