A World Without Mobiles? No Chance!
Now that mobile phones are internet browsers they are becoming the must have business item and we are becoming increasingly reliant on them. A survey of 1000 business people, carried out by Nectar, recently found that 20% keep their business mobile phones on over the weekend.
Email is now the most popular way to stay in touch with colleagues according to 71% of the business population. However, despite all the positives associated with mobile phones there are some downsides of this increased reliance and mild addiction to them, notably in the motoring industry.
Almost a third of drivers admitted to using their mobile phones in a recent Halfords poll conducted by YouGov. Additionally, 22% said they had actually made calls whilst driving. Using your handset instead of a hands free device is illegal but there are options that allow you to safely use your mobile phone to keep up to date with the news, your work and your friends whilst driving safely.
The best bet is to install a hands free device. These offer seamless and wireless hands free audio using a Bluetooth link. They connect with your car''s audio device ...
... and your mobile phone so you don''t need to wear a headset.
If your smartphone has voice activated dialling this is also compatible with in car hands free devices and is a really handy tool. The best hands free devices also come with noise reduction, echo cancellation and entertainment muting and automatic volume control.
You may look a little crazy and act as if you have an imaginary friend but Bluetooth headsets are the way forward when it comes to safe and easy hands free devices. They weigh just a few grams and remain comfortable even until their battery life is exhausted which is usually after around five hours. They can also cancel background noise and automatically adjust the volume depending on the situation.
It''s not just for driving when they come in handy. If you are on the go, they will put an end to hurriedly rummaging in your bag when your phone start''s ringing or ransacking your home trying to find your handset.
The beauty with these headsets is that you can keep them on even when you are not driving. You don''t need to rummage in your bag when your phone start''s ringing or stop doing whatever it is you are doing to answer a call.
