Today as the world's economic condition has gone done hill people are looking for safe and secure employment. So what about becoming a CA (Chartered Accountant) or a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) you must pass a series of extremely difficult exams. Once you have completed the difficult exams will then need to be registered and obtain a license as a CA or CPA. When you have completed this, it's extremely important to carry on with further education and career development; if you fail to do so, you may find yourself deemed "inactive" which will obviously be detrimental to your career.

The majority of the services provided by a CPA in the public realm it's that of assurance. Audit is the practical term used to describe assurance; the compliance of a business records and reports with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). In private business, CPA's and CA's work in extremely high roles and take on responsibility at the board level, including CEO, CFO and most other senior management levels.

In order to become eligible to sit for the CA or CPA examination, you must have successfully completed a ...
... graduate degree in business, administration or accounts; you will also need to prove a minimum qualify hours. Though the examination to become a CA or CPA is the same, the licensing is issued according to local regulations.

Experience requirements and minimum working hours to qualify for the CPA and CA are extremely regulated. Even if you are in an area that has quite lax working hours requirements, you will find that you will not be issued with your license (even if you pass successfully) until you have completed an acceptable amount of work experience.

There are differences between being a CA and a CPA and there may be benefit in completing one over the other depending on your future goals and preferences. There are many work experience checks to make sure candidates have completed the appropriate number of working hours. A CPA signs off authorising working hours. Due to major disruptions like the collapse of Enron, it is also necessary to complete an examination on ethics.

The Finance Accounting and Management accounting papers is also another qualification well worth pursuing. These are managed and issued by the ACCA and you will need to complete a 14 examination ACCA program to successfully pass and receive your certificate. The minimum age requirement to sit this exam is 21. Its suggested that all CA's and CPA's register with their local CA and CPA society's. Being a CA or CPA is a constantly developing industry and it pays to keep in touch with what effects your career.

So a career as CA or CPA certainly can be one that is not only personally rewarding but it can have exceptional financial rewards too. For more information visit the trusted professionals CPA AUCKLAND
