The engineering is one of the most preferred studies in our country. Around 1.5 million engineers are created every year from around 3500 engineering colleges. Due to the rapid increase in the number of professionals it has become essential that the current engineers must possess certain qualities and factors that would regard them as proficient and capable specialists who would ultimately become an asset for the organization and for the society as well. The final year of engineering is the peak time for any student to develop and flourish certain qualities that would increase their chances of employability. This is the most significant period for the students to chisel their abilities to build up their strengths and discover and overcome their weaknesses.

Find out about yourself:
For any engineering student, the first question that an interviewer will ask is,“Tell me about yourself”. It is more adequate to be prepared to respond to the question prior and in order to do that start with discovering more about your strengths and weaknesses. What have you achieved in your academic sessions and many other factors than that matter as well.

Put your projects at use:
Whatever projects that one has created during the academic session must be put a tremendous influence upon. May it be the first year or final year project, gather more information on them. The final year projects play a fundamentally essential role at the time of interviews conducted while being at the engineering college.

Keep updated with technology:
The technology around us keeps on advancing every day and those who continually keep themselves updated with the most recent technological trends possess more chances of getting hired than others.

Improve your fundamental concepts:
Whenever it comes to the interview, the candidates who possess a thorough knowledge, clear concepts, and possess a comprehensive understanding of what they have been taught during their academics have more significant chances of clearing the interviews. As the prime factor over which it is determined whether the candidate should be hired or not depends majorly on the level of clarity of the concepts.

Focus on your non-technical skills:
The one most significant thing that makes the most crucial factor is the non-technical skills. During the interview sessions, it becomes absolutely essential that the students must have proficient communication skills while being confident.

Build a network:
The final year of engineering is that time period when one gets to establish a broad network. They can get in touch with the alumni and discover more job prospects accordingly. Even the students must maintain a genuine connection with the juniors also.

Register on job portals:
This is the accurate time to get yourself enrolled on the job portals. These are the places where one gets to maintain an outlook towards various career options and accordingly get acknowledged about what sort of aspects they need to focus on.

Develop a personality:
This is the most significant time period. Alongside focusing on the studies, one must also focus on developing certain personality traits that would assist them in formulating an impression. Developing skills that show the confidence is very important as during the interview sessions the most substantial factor that the employer looks at any candidate for is their confidence and passion towards engineering.

Have a career goal:
Pursuing engineering and pursuing your dream might be different for all people, some study engineering to get a good job while some to get into technical knowledge. The aim to pursue the studies might differ, but it is noteworthy that the student must build an agenda towards what kind of career they aspire to have.

The final year represents the time when one gets lots of internship opportunities from many organizations. Though it is significantly important that the focus should be on the academics and final year projects. It is equally important that if one is getting the opportunity to pursue an internship they must grab that chance. Internships offer the students an insight into how the professional world works and what kind of environment is there in the corporate world.
