Sql Server Database Showing Suspect Error
With SQL Server installation, database users are provided with an integrated environment named SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS). Its function is to successfully configure, manage, develop and access all the SQL server components in a collaborative manner. SSMS' importance is obviously foreseen. Therefore, any kind of corruption in SSMS results in inaccessibility of SQL database components and various error messages. All the tables, queries, triggers, stored procedures, rules, user functions, etc. becomes impotent too. In such times of SQL data crisis, only one effective solution comes in mind and that's using professional SQL Server data recovery software.
Consider an instance when a user tries to connect to the SQL database and opens SSMS, and all of a sudden he encounters a vague error message saying:
Database ‘msdb' cannot be opened. It has been marked suspect
Reason behind this error
The main cause of the above error message is that the SQL database has been suspected. This suspected situation occurs when one or both of the following conditions become true.
The error log file does not ...
... match with the database file
Corruption in SQL database .MDF file
When the user views the SQL Server application event log, he finds the following entry:
The log scan number (152:284:1) passed to log scan in database ‘msdb' is not valid. This error may indicate data corruption or that the log file (.ldf) does not match the data file (.mdf). If this error occurred during replication, re-create the publication. Otherwise, restore from backup if the problem results in a failure during startup.
On getting this error message on the screen, SQL Server database becomes totally inaccessible.
Resolution
For solving this issue, you must try using inbuilt utility of SQL Server i.e. sp_resetstatus. With the help of this tool user is able to change the SQL database status and access the SQL database again.
But in this case, this inbuilt tool will not be able to resolve the issue correctly. This tool will only allow the user to connect to the SQL Server instances and will let you access other databases. To resolve the above error message and you need to perform complete SQL Server database recovery for which taking help of third party SQL recovery software becomes mandatory.
These SQL Server database recovery tools are very much simple in their working, which requires no special technical skills. If you are using SQL Server 2000 and 2005 versions, then you are rest assured that you would get complete, accurate and successful recovery of data from corrupt SQL database .MDF file. SQL Server database recovery software promises recovery of all the components of SQL Server database such as triggers, tables, views, stored procedures, rules, user functions, etc.
