Outlook Express Accessing Yahoo Emails

Outlook Express allows a possible setup to access Yahoo e-mails. The primary requirement is that you must have a POP3 access to the mailbox of Yahoo. However, from March 2004 onwards, this service has been made premium. Cause

Outlook Expres Inbox, Inbox.dbx, is corrupted.

Solution

To isolate the depicted problem, you should first check if you can access e-mails from Inbox. If you can, you need to create a blank DBX folder and move all the readable e-mails from corrupted folder to this new one. You can then delete the corrupted folder. In other cases, sequence of solution is as given below:

1)Close Outlook Express
2)Locate the file named 'Inbox.dbx'. To do this, click 'Start' and then use the 'Find' or 'Search' option to find it.
3)Right-click the file and then delete or rename it.
4)Restart Outlook Express

Note: Deleting the corrupted Inbox is not recommended until a backup is available.
