Ancient monasteries and churches are a great source of God's blessing on the medieval town of Rhodes. Some of these blissful
churches and monasteries include:

The Monastery of Tsambika

Close to the astounding village of Archangelos, there is a small but intricate and white colored church. You can enjoy the coastal views of both the north and south Kolimbia from its 300 meters height. Similarly, you can also view the iconic Blessed Virgin of the 11th century on the top of the mountain in this region. You are hereby advised to book your stay in Rhodes Town Hotels which is near to this site.

According to a prehistoric myth, a childless woman can be blessed with children if she walks and prays to the Virgin barefooted up on the mountain. People, as part of their respect and cult, name their children after the monastery: Tsambikos is used for boys and Tsambika for the girls. Moreover, the day of the saints is celebrated on seventh of September. It is, therefore, a particularly compelling event for the childless women.

St George Monastery

This monastery is also quite near to the fortress of ...
... Archangelos. On your entrance to this monastery you will be attracted by the contemporary wall-painting of St George in which he is slaying the dragon. Apart from some good Rhodes Town Hotels, you can easily access the icing sugar tower of the church from this advantageous point.

You can also access a path down to this church via the network of some narrow streets. Crowded by various houses, it is primarily based at the center of the old town. This church possesses a wedding-cake type tower which is visible on various other islands in the Dodecanese group and is quite beautiful. Apart from the more common barrel mausoleum, Cross mausoleum, is a unique feature of church designs on this island.

Panagia's Domed Church

This church is in the mid of the village, Lindos, which is just off the main square. It is a fifteenth-century cathedral having a dark interior and a black & white stoned floor. Also, it is bedecked with the wall-paintings of the eighteenth-century's Gregori of Symi. Additionally, the typical division has separated the male- and female-saints on the right and left sides respectively.

Moni Kalopetra

This amazingly white monastery due to the sun-glare can be reached after crossing the Valley of the Butterflies. It owns a silent patio having picnic tables from where you can analyze the landscape thoroughly. Furthermore you can visit Rhodes Town Hotels here and enjoy some light refreshments.

Agios Soulas

This small church owns a number of interesting places with few Rhodes Town Hotels, a playground, tavern and a racing-track. On the church's Saints day (i.e. 29th and 30th July), this area gets overloaded with a huge crowd of people. A variety of people from different parts of the world visit this festival. They are mostly attracted by the unique and interesting donkey race taking place here.

Apart from other hotels, the famous Paris Hotel is located at a 5 min walk from St Francisco Roman Catholic Church in Rhodes Town. It is quite close to surrounding monasteries and churches. You would really enjoy your vacations during this amazing tour!
