Sent Items Folder Doesn't Shrink In Outlook Express

We know that in Outlook Express, folders that are listed in ‘Local Folders’ gets stored with *.dbx file format on our system. Any danger to the system can harm these files. Solution to this problem
In order to fix up the issue, one can delete the Sent Items folder or rename it and then go for recreating the Sent Items folder. File name for Sent Items folder is ‘Sent Items.dbx’. Follow the given below steps to recreate the folder.
Close Outlook Express. Click ‘Start’ and then go to ‘Find’ (or ‘Search’).
Click ‘Files or Folders’.
Type ‘Sent Items.dbx’ in the Named box.
Select your primary drive (usually ‘C:’) in the Look In box and click ‘Find Now’
Select ‘Sent Items.dbx’ file and right-click it
Click ‘Rename’ or ‘Delete’ (choose this option if you have a backup or the folder doesn’t contain any important e-mail(s)). Type ‘Sent Items1.dbx if you click ‘Rename’
Click ‘OK’ and restart Outlook Express. This recreates the folder(s) that Outlook Express doesn’t find at start
During this recreation process, email file data are prone to loss. Therefore, you should adopt a secure way out. You must Repair Outlook Express using diligent Outlook Express recovery software.
